What is Ontario's Feed-in Tariff Program?
Ontario’s Feed-In Tariff (FIT) Program for renewable energy generation is a cornerstone of the province’s Green Energy Act. Under the program, participants are paid a fixed-price for the electricity they generate over a 20 year contract period. By hosting a SunEdison solar PV system, you will receive on-going revenue for the space you lease, with no up-front cost.  For more information, please visit the Ontario Power Authority's FIT Program website.

How do I know if I'm a good candidate for SunEdison solar energy services?
If you are a corporation or Real Estate Investment Trust with multiple sites in Canada, a utility looking to implement a solar program, or a government institution located in Ontario, Canada, you may be a good candidate. If you are looking to generate new revenue from your unused roof space, while helping your community and environment then you are probably a great candidate for our solar energy services.

How do I know if my facilities are appropriate for a SunEdison installation?
Most solar deployments fall into two categories: those using a flat structure such as a rooftop or those using available ground space.

For roof-mounted systems, generally you should have a minimum of 40,000 square feet and the roof should be less than 7 years old.

Currently SunEdison offers both rooftop and ground mounted programs in Canada under Ontario’s Feed-in Tariff Program.

How are SunEdison solar energy services different from other solar offers?
We offer solar energy services, we are not an equipment manufacturer. Because we finance, develop, install, own, operate and maintain the solar power plants as a single provider for multiple sites, you benefit from North America’s largest solar energy services provider with no upfront costs to drive new revenue from your unused roof space and vacant land.

How much does it cost to implement SunEdison's solutions?
Nothing. Because there is no capital outlay under our Solar Services Model, your costs to initiate a solar project are nonexistent. In fact, we pay to use your unused roof space or vacant land to host a solar power system.

How do I know what technology is best for my facility?
SunEdison evaluates the options of various technologies, configurations and selected sites to bring the best returns to the project. As your trusted partner, we will listen to your needs and concerns, and identify the best solution for your facilities. A program manager will guide you through our decision process, ensuring that your needs are fully met.

What are the financial considerations with a SunEdison solution?
None. In fact, you will be earning revenue. We’ll determine the best technology for your roof space or land and pay you to host the solar power plant.
