Commercial solar customers in Canada reap the benefits of hosting solar with no up-front cost.

As North America's largest solar energy services provider, the organizations that SunEdison serves are quite diverse, including commercial businesses, government entities, utility companies and REITs. Yet all SunEdison customers share a common goal: to derive financial benefit by participating in solar programs while helping to save the planet.

SunEdison offers two options for organizations in Ontario who wish to implement solar. First, you may purchase and own a solar PV system outright. Second, you may become a solar “host.”

Being a solar “host” simply means that you provide the use of your rooftop space and/or unused land for the installation of a solar photovoltaic (PV) system. You don't own the system. You don't have to maintain the system. Most importantly, you don't have to pay for the system. You simply lease the space and receive a cheque from SunEdison each month.

As you might expect, solar projects are not quite that simple, but SunEdison manages all the intricacies of PV project execution for our customers, including system design and engineering, financing, and construction. SunEdison can also provide system maintenance and performance monitoring for optimal output. With 401 completed projects to date, SunEdison offers the knowledge and experience to customize solar projects that are just right for each of our customers.
